Reunions come in many guises: family, school, military, fraternal, funeral and probably some that don’t spring to mind just this minute. Reunions generally take you away from home and back to one of your old stomping grounds. Of course there are other reasons that take you away, business and vacations being two of the more usual. I guess the point being that these provide occasions to expand your golfing experiences. Take the opportunity to play a few rounds with your old buddies, school mates, business acquaintances or family. You are already there and it may be a while before you return, which makes the moment that much more memorable.
If you are traveling to any of these large cities or already live there, GET OUT OF TOWN and consider trying some of these areas. They are only suggestions, but they are attractive locations not terribly far from the metropolitan areas. Included under each of the large cities are the outlying towns, golf courses, number of holes and in most cases the year the course was built. Some of the courses have been around long enough to be tied to the Royal and Ancient days. The list of courses is by no means complete and is based on sources found online. Consider Vacation Rental By Owner (vrbo.com) if you have the time and want a nice homey base of operations while you are visiting one of the areas.
